Ahhhh, spring! A time of #re-birth and starting our #gardens! Some of you may not have room for a #garden or, simply do not have a green thumb, yet, this should not stop you from #planting seeds that will grow and reach out to all you come into contact with. Instead of just planting your carrots, cucumbers, beans, tomatoes and herbs, consider adding those seeds that will be sown and last a lifetime if tended to with love and care. These would be the seeds of love, kindness, empathy, compassion, self-confidence and forgiveness of others. Just as fruits, vegetables, trees and flowers, the seeds for your emotional garden need tended to with love and care. We can see the fruits of our efforts when growing our gardens and weeding and watering when we see that first little sprout grow into a bounty to feed our families. The same holds true for our emotional and mental seeds. We can see the fruits of tending to those labors of love when we role model for our children those seeds we want to have firm roots and that will grow throughout a lifetime. By doing this, we will be providing our children with the proper emotional tools for their 'toolbox of life'. It isn't enough to simply plant the seeds. We need to nurture and care for them daily if we want to see a bounty that they too can share in their relationships.
So, give some thought as you see new life springing up around you at this time of year. You can plant new life into your relationships as well but don't forget to take care of yourself at the same time. If you are not emotionally healthy, you cannot sow the proper seeds to share with others.
Plant and prosper in love.
