As I sit and write, there is a heavy winter storm brewing out my window. A mix of rain, ice and snow with at least two feet of snow left on the ground from the previous storm. I am reminded of how much nature relates to our human bodies and souls. Just like plants, we need roots to grow. Our family can be considered the soil in which we grow in. Others that come into our life can mimic the ever changing weather and surprises nature can show us. Just as there is destruction in nature with natural events, destruction and pain can occur in our lives at the hands of others or even by our own doing. We learn much from nature; it finds new life where something has been destroyed. The sun returns and brings with it rays of hope for better days. If we are not open to these most blessed events, we can never see hope and life on the horizon.
No matter how destructive and devastating some of our life storms can be, do not allow the pain to stifle your heart. By remaining open and having a heart filled with faith, you will not miss the rebirth on the horizon with the help of special souls that come into your life offering rays of hope and beams of love.
